This Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Managers eLearning course equips supervisors, team leaders and managers with the knowledge and skills needed to lead inclusively and fairly. The course deepens understanding of core equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles, legal obligations and practical strategies for creating and sustaining an inclusive culture. Learners will explore how to recognise and prevent discrimination and bias, make inclusive decisions, support diverse teams and respond effectively to EDI-related concerns in the workplace.
Course Aims
The primary aims of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Managers course are to:
- Explain foundational concepts in equality, diversity and inclusion and why they are critical for effective leadership
- Raise awareness of legal and organisational responsibilities relating to EDI under UK law and best practice
- Develop managers’ ability to recognise and address discrimination and bias in team interactions and decisions
- Provide practical guidance on inclusive leadership behaviours, team development and policy enforcement
- Encourage proactive EDI practices that help build a respectful, supportive and high-performing workplace
