Work at Height
This Work at Height eLearning course provides essential training on the risks and controls associated with working at height in the workplace. Learners will understand why work at height presents significant safety hazards, how to identify situations where height-related risk exists, and what legal and practical measures are required to prevent falls and related injuries. The course covers hazard recognition, risk assessment, selection of appropriate equipment (such as ladders, stepladders, platforms and fall-protection systems), and safe work practices to ensure people are protected whenever work at height cannot be avoided.
Course Aims
The primary aims of the Work at Height course are to:
- Explain the risks associated with working at height and why they require specific safety controls
- Raise awareness of common work-at-height hazards, including unprotected edges, unstable access and inappropriate equipment
- Clarify legal and organisational responsibilities under UK work-at-height regulations and guidance
- Provide practical guidance on risk assessment and control measures, including the correct use of equipment and planning of tasks
- Encourage safe behaviours and effective planning to prevent falls and injuries

By the end of this 30-minute awareness course, learners will be able to:
